We had a great time having lots of conversations at Sea Fest this year! It was massively busy between 10-1 and we didn’t have a chance to breathe, but then had a more relaxed (if a bit dripped on) afternoon in the rain. Blimmin English weather! As ever thanks to the intrepid warriors who turned out in a beautiful morning! The esplanade was thronging with visitors and residents, quite a few of whom decided to join us for a bit. Well done to Rachel, one of our vice-chairs, who took it upon herself to go up to the Manor Road car Read more about Beach Clean June 12th 2022[…]
A small but select group of wonderful warriors collected 4 bags of rubbish, several disposable barbecues, over 1800 cigarette butts (thanks in a large part to some wonderful visitors to our town who joined in so enthusiastically). Some of us braved the road side and pulled loads of plastic out of the road drains again Read more about Beach Clean 8th May 2022[…]
I wrote an article for Sidmouth Nub News in January 2022 By Cllr Denise Bickley (Independent East Devon Alliance, Sidmouth Town Ward) I’m writing my first column for Nub News linked to my ‘passion’ – the environment, litter and specifically this time to shine a spotlight on recycling and waste collections in the area.
