I have just been down to Jacobs Ladder beach. There was another storm last night and an extremely high tide, so it is always worth a nip down to get whatever the sea spews back at us. In 20 minutes I had almost filled 2 bags. I don’t mind doing this as it is mainly marine plastic – however there were also lots of coffee cups, with and without lids. I don’t get it. Why is it still ok to get a single use cup? Why aren’t we able to retrain ourselves? Remember this is only two days since we cleaned the beach. It’s time for some town action…
